- Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate
- Five years experience in related field
- Responsible for fiberglass and composite material lay-up and mould preparation, application of release agents & mould assembly/disassembly, remolding and mould/tool cleaning and maintenance.
- Fiberglass & Kevlar Matting cutting and lay up.
- Preparation of steel, aluminum and composite tools.
- Assembly of seals into machined tool faces.
- Assembly and fitting of inserts into tools.
- Final Tool assembly including fitting of injection manifolds.
- Remolding of finished parts from tools.
- Ensure tools and moulds are kept clean, free from damage and in good working order.
- Recording & logging of materials used in assembly of tools including consumables.
- Must maintain a clean work environment.
- Shift work may be required.
- Responsible for safe handling and storage of chemicals (release agents) and adhesives within immediate work area.
- Perform all work safely and injury-free. Must actively participate in improving department and plant safety performance.
- Perform duties according to ISO 9001 procedures.
- Attend and participate in Programs/Committees/Training as required, such as Department Safety, Housekeeping Audit Teams, etc.
- Recognized trade qualification such as fitter, fitter machinist or boilermaker.
- Minimum of 5 years industrial experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in plastics manufacturing highly regarding e.g. rotational or large part injection molding.
- Good verbal and written English is essential.
